With stormwater management being such an important part of new land developments in both the planning and design phases of a project, learning the fundamentals of this topic can go a long way toward your better understanding your project and why a significant part of your site has to be used for the collection and management of stormwater.

The following are two books I would recommend.

1) Stormwater Management for Land Development by Thomas A. Seybert

This is a great beginners guide to stormwater management design and includes plenty of illustrations.

Check out current pricing on Amazon.

2) Principles of Stormwater Management by Roger D. Griffin

This is a good book for those wanting a comprehensive reference involving stormwater management.

Check out current pricing on Amazon.
